THIS JUST IN: Man facing child porn charges is Head Custodian at Riverside Public School: Police investigation does not involve students

A man charged recently with making child porn available is the Head Custodian at Riverside Public School in Huntsville. Trillium Lakelands District School Board’s (TLDSB) Communications Manager Catherine Shedden has confirmed Jaques Francois Roger Comte’s position at the school, but she says he won’t be on or near the school or any TLDSB property moving forward.
“We have been assured by the Huntsville OPP that the investigation does not involve our schools or students,” she added in an email to Moose FM. The 45 year-old was arrested after an undercover online police investigation. On September 4th, police searched a Huntsville residence where police say four computer systems and external media were seized which contained images of child sexual abuse.  He’s now charged with two counts of possessing child porn, one count of making it available and one count of accessing it. He’ll appear in Huntsville Court September 17th to answer to the charges.
