Muskoka YMCA officials are encouraging Muskokans to get into the giving spirit next week.
GivingTuesday is coming up and is meant to be a follow up to consumer-focused shopping days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. YMCA officials say GivingTuesday is meant to encourage locals to put the money they’ve saved on these weekend deals towards helping others in the community. If you don’t have extra money to give, you can still give back by signing up for volunteer work. Officials are asking anyone getting involved to share their charity experience on social media by using #GivingTuesdayCA to bring more attention to the movement.
