Ministry of Education awards $4,000 collectively to four local schools

Four of Muskoka’s public schools are getting grants. Trillium Lakelands District School Board Director of Education Larry Hope says school councils within their district applies directly to the Ministry of Education for the Parent Reaching Out Grant.

The Ministry of Education awarded $13,575 to 14 schools in the district. Huntsville Public, Pine Glen, Macaulay Public and Gravenhurst Public each received $1,000 towards their programs. Hope says grants like these goes to many types of initiatives.

This year’s programs include Get Active at Huntsville Public, Parent Educational Outreach Event at Pine Glen, Meet you at Macaulay and Interactive Science Nights for Parents at Gravenhurst Public.
