Advisory in effect for Port Sydney Beach
There’s an advisory in effect for Port Sydney Beach. The Simcoe-Muskoka District Health unit says the beach is still open, but the water may contain levels of bacteria that could increase the risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose and throat infections or stomach disorders. The health unit says if you choose to swim you should avoid ducking your head or swallowing the water. There are advisory signs up at the beach. Town of Huntsville swimming lessons at the beach have been cancelled until the advisory is lifted.
