Update: The OPP is reporting the suspect has been arrested safely.

Police are asking drivers to be on the lookout for a stolen truck.

Last night, a woman driving the truck stolen from Barrie allegedly attempted to rob a gas station in Oro-Medonte. Police say the woman reportedly demanded money while threatening the gas station clerk with a knife. The woman took off after the clerk’s husband came to the counter.

She was last spotted on Highway 12, but officers aren’t sure which direction she is headed in. The woman is described as white, in her mid-30s with a grey toque and purple jacket. She’s driving a dark grey Chevy Avalanche pick-up truck.

Anyone with information is asked to call your local OPP detachment or you can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
