Algonquin Highlands is being asked to contribute $10,000 towards the Dorset Health Hub.
Dorset Community Partnership Fund Board Member Collin Reaney made the request to township council at this morning’s meeting.
Reaney says the hub had over 2,000 visits this year and the visits are split down the middle between residents of Algonquin Highlands of Lake of Bays.
Reaney adds the goal of the health hub is to make services more accessible for rural residents.
Reaney says he will be asking Lake of Bays for a $10,000 commitment at Tuesday’s council meeting.
