ALGONQUIN HIGHLANDS PLEASED WITH TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT FOR FALL COLOURS AT DORSET TOWER

Algonquin Highlands Mayor Carol Moffatt isn’t worried about a drop in revenue at the Dorset Tower.

Despite a drop of over $8,000 in money from tourists coming to the tower to see the fall colours, Moffatt says she is happy with how traffic was managed.

Moffatt says the feedback from the Parks, Trails and Recreation department, as well as the OPP, was that the traffic management plan was a success.

Officials believe wet weather on Thanksgiving weekend led to a drop in visitors to the tower.
