The daytime burning ban is now over for the year in Muskoka.
Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadlja says with winter getting closer, daytime outdoor burning is allowed in the area again. Vadlja says you still need to follow the rules if you do decide to spark up a fire in Huntsville.
Valja says if you break these bylaws you’re facing some hefty fines.
With a wetter than usual summer, Vadlja says the fire danger rating never pushed above low this summer.
