Tony Clement believes the Liberal spending is getting out of control.
The Parry Sound Muskoka MP is responding to the recent economic update from feds. The government is projecting a $19 billion dollar budget deficit for the end of this fiscal year, which is down from its $25 billion prediction from the spring.
But, Clement says this falls short of the original promise from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to bring the deficit down to $10 billion. He says Trudeau is putting too much money into government programs and taking more money from the middle-class to pay for them.
The feds announced on Tuesday they would be putting $9 billion into programs focused on the legalization of marijuana, drug-impaired driving and coast guard services.
