Ironman 70.3 Muskoka happens Sunday

About 1,300 athletes will pour into Huntsville this Sunday for the Ironman 70.3 Muskoka. TriMuskoka President Rich Trenholm says there are athletes that are coming from all over the world. The race starts at Deerhurst Resort.

From 8am to 5pm. Deerhurst Drive from Resort to Canal Road will be closed. Also closed is King William Street from Hanes to West Street, Princess Street from West Street to Brunel Road and Brunel Road from Main Street to Townline Road. Trenholm says this event is great about creating community spirit in Huntsville and the surrounding areas.

Main Street in downtown Huntsville will also be buzzing with activity. Trenholm says people can expect to see their athletes come through at around 11am.

The Huntsville BIA will be giving out wristbands to spectators who are with the athletes to use towards deals at various local shops.
