Algonquin Highlands looking to enhance Oxtongue Lake Community Centre

Algonquin Highlands wants to build a pavilion at the Oxtongue Lake Community Centre.

According to a report in council, the total cost of the project would be $86,030 but the township plans to apply for provincial funding. If successful, Algonquin Highlands would receive $56,230 while the township would cover the remainder. The money would come from the Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant Fund

Mayor Carol Moffatt says it’s a great opportunity to enhance Oxtongue Lake’s community hub.

Councillors say if Algonquin Highlands does not receive the grant money, the township likely won’t go ahead with the project.
