A federal official is calling for a special memorial for Tragically Hip member Gord Downie.
Parry Sound Muskoka MP Tony Clement says he wants to see a state funeral held for the iconic Canadian singer who passed away Tuesday night.
Clement says the best way to honour Downie following his death is to play his music on the radio or in your personal playlist.
Downie announced last year he was suffering from an incurable form of brain cancer. He was 53.
