Bala Communities in Bloom to disband

The Bala Communities in Bloom Committee will soon be no more. With only three remaining members after 16 years, the committee has decided to call it quits. Member Mary Grady says it’s also partly due to dwindling volunteers. In 2006 the committee had 66 active volunteers, now they
have five they can regularly count on. In its history, the committee were successful in winning top honors in Community in Bloom competitions at both Provincial and National levels. The committee
officially dissolves this fall.
