Two collisions in Muskoka Lakes Township

Two collisions on Muskoka roads this past weekend.
Both happened Sunday. One on Highway 118 West just West of Milford Bay before 6am. Three people were able to get themselves out of a Volkswagen Passat after it rolled with speed being a factor. A Muskoka Lakes firefighter who saw the vehicle before it flipped described its
speed as “insane” and charges are pending. The next collision happened on Highway 169 across from Stills Bay at 7:15am. A Chev pickup veered across the road and hit a guard rail, went over it, rolled down a rocky hill and came to rest in the lagoon across from Stills Bay. Alcohol’s believed to be a factor. The single occupant received medical attention. The driver was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Police say charges are pending.
