Two provincial authorities double down on charges in the area

Police and conservation officers are watching now that hunting season is underway.

Last Thursday, police spotted a man on an ATV without a helmet. After he was stopped, officers found he also had a loaded weapon. The OPP charged the 77-year-old man from St. Thomas for not wearing a helmet.

He was also charged by Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry for transporting the loaded weapon on a vehicle, which is against the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.
