Muskoka students can apply to be a part of provincial politics this spring

Your child can learn about provincial politics in the heart of Queen’s Park.
The Legislative Page Program is taking applications from young students for the 2018 spring session.

Twice a year 140 Ontario students from grades seven and eight are picked to be pages for spring and fall legislature sessions. The students will spend about four months in Queen’s Park and will continue their regular education with the Page Program Coordinator who is a certified teacher.

Parry Sound Muskoka MPP Norm Miller says overall it’s a great learning experience.

Miller says during his time as an MPP he’s seen a few pages from the Parry Sound Muskoka area take part in the program. He says many kids involved in this program have pursued a career in politics.

The application period for the spring session runs until November 15th. You can find out how to apply for the program here.
