Huntsville invites residents to get involved in planning for the town’s future

Your input is important in shaping the future of Huntsville.

The town is meeting with residents in Port Sydney to review the current Huntsville Official Plan. Manager of Planning for the town Kirstin Maxwell says this plan is a guideline to improve the needs of residents in Huntsville.

This open house is phase two of the review process. The public input collected will be used in phase three to draft the new plan, which will then be reviewed by council. Municipalities are required by the province to review Official Plans every five years. Maxwell says public input is pivotal with this review process.

The open house is being held at the Port Sydney Community Hall on September 28th at 6:00pm. If you can’t make it to the meeting you can still give your input online here until October 20th.
