Table Soup Kitchen looking for business owners to join its Table of Twelve

Pull up a chair to the table of twelve and help Huntsville’s most vulnerable. The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation has created a new fundraising initiative alongside Muskoka’s advertising firm The Well Known Company. Table CEO Heather Berg says the company chose them as their charity of choice for the year, to help with fundraising. Berg says it’s a huge need for the Table right now, as services have grown with the addition of the men’s shelter.

Berg says the new initiative is called the Bring It To The Table, and aims to get 12 businesses on board to commit to ongoing financial support. She says the program will help the Table continue to provide all of its services, as well as plan ahead.

She says it costs around $27,000 a month to run its six services, which includes the soup kitchen, food bank and exchange store.

Right now, one business has signed on to the program which is Tulloch Engineering. Those interested in taking part, or anyone looking to volunteer at the men’s shelter, can get in touch with Berg at (705) 349 3788 or by email at [email protected].
