Over $450K raised for Huntsville Hospital Foundation this summer

All of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s hard work is paying off. The foundation has announced it raised $453,000 this summer with a variety of events and activities throughout the season. As more donations come in, the number is expected to climb to over $500,000. This will help to put a dent in the foundation’s annual fundraising goal of $3 million.

The foundation raises money to buy equipment for the Huntsville hospital. Board members get a list of what’s required, and will prioritize and purchase based on what’s most needed. Some of the equipment recently purchased includes infant warmers, IV pumps, a lab microscope and a pacemaker pulse generator.

Executive Director Katherine Craine says they are very thankful for the cottage country and volunteers who helped to make the fundraising possible. She saying keeping the hospital stocked with up-to-date technology is the community’s responsibility, and we have a diverse population that shows its support.
