Four fastball athletes have returned from a world championship in Michigan

A group of Muskoka Fastball players is feeling like champs following a North American tournament.
Ken Veitch, Barry Hammond, Colin Newell and Mike Crawford all traveled to Michigan to take part in the International Softball Congress World Fastball Championship. Veitch says he and Hammond did very well on the Ontario’s Waterloo Legends team.

Veitch says he was awarded first in the All World Selection Batting Average with a .611 average during the tournament. He says Crawford and and Newell also competed hard but bowed out in their first playoff games. Veitch says next year the championship tournament in 2018 will only be a short drive away as it will be held in Kitchener, from August 10th to the 20th.
