Gravenhurst officials ask for patience as the MRC sale slowly moves forward

Gravenhurst officials are thinking positive when it comes to the Muskoka Regional Centre.

The town has put in a second offer to Infrastructure Ontario to buy the property with plans to turn it into a Chinese-Canadian High School campus with Maple Leaf Education Systems. Director of Development Services Scott Lucas is asking for patience from residents supporting this project as the town tries to work out a final deal with the province. Officials reported in the town’s mid-year review that the sale is expected to be done before the end of the year.

There haven’t been any details released on how much the province is looking to sell the property for.
