Two more attempted break-ins in Huntsville has the OPP asking for the public’s help

A Huntsville resident is safe after finding an alleged robber in their house. The Huntsville OPP says yesterday morning, residents left their home on Florence Street W. for the day, and shortly after two men entered the home. However, family members were still home and one resident came out of a room to find the man in another bedroom holding a wallet.

The OPP says the man pushed the resident and ran out of the house. A second man was standing at the door, and he also ran. Both headed east bound on Florence.

The police searched the area with its canine unit but didn’t find the two suspects. The OPP is now asking for help in identifying the pair. One man was wearing an orange and grey sweater, carrying a black back pack. Both are described in their early 20’s.

The OPP says after that, another break-in nearby was attempted. The OPP says culprits stole a ratchet and socket that was sitting at the back door of a home on George Street, which is behind the home on Florence. The OPP says a small shelf that had a Harley Davidson sticker on it was also stolen. However, they weren’t able to get inside.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 705-789-5551 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
