Trader Joe’s and MaraNatha nut butters have been recalled for potential salmonella risk. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency made the recall for the almond and peanut butters with various best before dates. There have been no reported illnesses in connection with these products. The C-F-I-A reminds people that food contaminated with salmonella may not appear rotten. Salmonella contamination can be deadly to young children, and the elderly with weak immune systems.
