Body of missing teenager found in Algonquin Park

The body of a Toronto teen who went missing in Algonquin Park has been found. Fifteen-year-old Jeremiah Perry has been found after he went missing during a school trip in the park yesterday evening.

Killaloe OPP says Perry had been swimming in Big Trout Lake when he went under the water, and did not resurface.

Constable Catherine Yarmel says the boy’s body was found just after 3:00pm Wednesday afternoon.

The Toronto District School Board says the boy was in Algonquin Park as part of a school trip with 38 other students, along with six staff members and other volunteers.

A police investigation into the cause of death continues, the Renfrew County Crime Unit will be questioning other students for more information.
