Muskoka OPP units will be out making sure everyone is safe on the roads over the long weekend. Most businesses will be closed Monday, July 3rd for the holiday and the police says if you’re out celebrating do so safely.

Bracebridge OPP Constable Mo Tilson says the police will be out looking for drinking and driving.

Tilson says the police will be diligent on the roads, and do have strategies set up to look for impaired driving along with other complaints. She says the summer patrol methods won’t be a lot different from the RIDE programs set up over the Christmas holidays.

Tilson says the OPP’s goal is to keep the number of impaired drivers to zero.
