Some special visitors from Norway are making a mark in Bracebridge.

On Wednesday, the officials from Gol, Norway including Mayor Heidi Granli join Graydon Smith at Town Hall for a special presentation.

The two mayors will unveil a plaque that commemorates the visit from the dignitaries.

The Norwegians are visiting to continue the special relationship that was created between Gol and Bracebridge during World War II.

Norwegian pilots spent time training in Bracebridge during the war as their homeland was occupied by German forces.

The unveiling ceremony is planned for 6:15pm outside the town office.

The dignitaries will be visiting with local business owners, sitting in on a council meeting and even taking in the special Canada 150 fireworks display on Saturday.
