Bala Communities in Bloom to disband

Bala’s Communities in Bloom Committee is going to disband. With only three members left after 16 years, the committee is calling it quits. Member Mary Grady says it’s partly due to dwindling volunteers. In 2006 they had 66 active volunteers, now they have five. While in action, the committee won top honors in Community in Bloom competitions at both Provincial and National levels. The committee officially dissolves this fall.
