McRobb impaired driving case put over until August 26th

Lee-Anne McRobb’s impaired driving case has been put over again until August 26th. This morning her lawyer appeared in Bracebridge Court to seek the new hearing date. Court heard that talks aimed at reaching a plea are still going on between Crown Attorney Doug Kasko and the defense. According to court documents, McRobb faces two counts of impaired driving, two counts of having too much alcohol in her system and a charge of having open liquor in a vehicle. All stem from the May 20th incident when she was pulled over by police near Bala in Toronto Mayor Rob Ford’s Escalade. Crown Attorney Ted Carlton said a new charge is also being pursued by authorities. OPP Constable Jessica Drake tells the Moose it’s a charge of Dangerous Driving which was sworn in last week. That charge too stems from the May 20th incident. McRobb did not appear in court today.
