The latest Trillium grants have been announced and the Parry Sound area will once again benefit. Of the five projects awarded Ontario Trillium Grant this time around, Henvey Inlet Firs Nation and the Township of Seguin will receive money for important projects. Henvey Inlet First Nation was awarded $62,000 over one year to renovate the ball field by leveling and grading the infield and outfield, installing a drainage system and reseeding the field. Seguin Township will receive $51,400 over one year to install an innovative water treatment system for the ice plant that will use considerably less energy and make better-quality ice more quickly at the Humphrey Arena and Community Centre as well as to install energy-efficient lighting and a new sound system.
