In Muskoka women’s softball action last night, Shier’s Insurance defeated LaTour Contracting at the Gravenhurst Diamond Wharf. There were solid hits and catches for Shier’s Insurance from Nicole Manion and Sonja Chunick.
Meantime, In Bracebridge women’s softball, Bracebridge Repair Centre and Welding took the win over Victorian Construction at Peake fields. Wayne’s Tire/Carey’s Irish Pub beat out Bracebridge Timbr-Mart in 7 full innings of play. Tricia Diemert hit a homer cashing in 2 RBIs and Steph Clark played well defensively behind the plate for the win. Plus, Muskoka Music Source won against Campbell’s during the 7pm game at Peakes field in the 7th inning.
Highlights include triple base hits by Dana Strength and a home run by Jeannie MacDonald. Golden enterprise also took the win over Paul Davis systems with great catches from Judy Vanderveer and Diana Howe. Winning pitcher was Melissa Horner.
