Busy weekend for Almaguin Highlands OPP

It was a busy long weekend for police in Almaguin Highlands. Between Friday and Monday, police laid 56 charges in the Almaguin Highlands area including speeding, failing to wear seat belt, failing to give a drivers licence and more. Two drivers were also charged for failing to produce their insurance card, while one driver was charged for impaired driving. The detachment marine unit was out on the water as well in Kearney and laid a total of six charges; two for operators not having the proper safety equipment, one for having open liquor on their boat, and several other Canada Shipping Act offences.
