New ice making unit is on the way for Gravenhurst Centennial Centre

Out with the old and in with the new. Gravenhurst council approved finances for construction on the new ice making unit at the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre. Facilities Maintenance Coordinator with the town, Mike Brock says the old structure’s been around since 1977 and several changes are on the way.

Two bids were awarded including Simcoe Refrigeration, which was the only bid and expert in that field. While, for project management, the job was based on a recommendation from the town. Brock has more.

So far the town has spent $747,300.00. Construction will begin this spring and will end this fall.
