OPP arrest 22-year-old man for assaulting a peace officer

A 22-year-old man has been released from custody after he allegedly assaulted a police officer. On Saturday, Almaguin Highlands OPP responded to a call on Skyline Drive in Armour Township.  When police arrived, windows were smashed, a glass door was broken and a man had been assaulted. Police arrested the home owner who then assaulted the officer before he was arrested. The 22-year-old of Aurora faces several charges including two counts of possession of marijuana and Psilocybin, assault causing bodily harm and assaulting a peace officer. He’ll appear in Sundridge court on, September 25, 2014.
