Miller wants the province to cut the red tape on local fundraisers

Norm Miller is joining a political colleague to work on cutting through the red tape faced by local non-profit organizations.
The Parry Sound Muskoka MPP says the Bracebridge Rotary Club reached out to him because it was not able to sell car raffle tickets during its Canada Day Duck Race.
Miller says the current provincial rules block service clubs from running two fundraisers at once and his party has already tried to address this issue with the province.
He says during Question Period at Queen’s Park this week, the Minister of Government and Consumer Services agreed there needs to be changes to these rules.
But Miller adds actions speak louder than words and he and MPP Wilson will continue to bring this up to the province until the red tape is lifted.
