Update 9:20pm: A majority of Huntsville and some of Bracebridge has power once again. A large portion of outages in Gravenhurst as well as Muskoka Lakes and Georgian Bay should be fixed by 11:00pm. A few hundred other customers around the Glen Echo area of Gravenhurst will likely be without power until tomorrow afternoon according to Veridian.
Hydro One, Lakeland Power and Veridian Connections are all reporting outages across Muskoka totaling about 25,000 homes without power.
This includes MacTier, the Wahta Mohawk Territory and other surrounding communities with over 15,000 homes out.
Officials are suggesting the power should be restored by 11:00pm.
The outage in Bracebridge is affecting nearly 7,000 homes with a restoration time at about 9:00pm and in Gravenhurst about 2,000 homes are out and may not be back on until about 8:00pm.
Huntsville area has over 12,000 homes without power with a restoration time of 9:00pm.
Hydro One is reporting an outage from the northern part of Hunstville stretching up to Burk’s Falls with over 1,000 homes out until 9:00pm.
