Bala Falls portage ban being challenged in Ontario's top court today

A portage ban in Bala Falls is being challenged in Ontario’s top court today. Last year, the ban began after the MNR decided there were concerns over the safety of visitors. In 2009, two men died from drowning after they tried to rescue a child near the location. Today the issue goes to court to determine whether the ban will stay in effect or be reversed.
