Muskoka district councillors want to see residents overcharged on water service taxes get their money back.
Last Tuesday, council voted in favour of paying back water and sewage costs to 198 homeowners that never had those services between 2006 and 2016.
The district will be expected to pay back over $350,000 as well as the interest collected, which is still being figured out.
The issue was brought to council last November when a handful of homeowners approached the district with concerns about being charged for the service they weren’t getting.
