Town Crier suggests Santa Claus statue for downtown Bracebridge

If a new proposal gets support from the Town we might see a statue of Santa Claus in downtown Bracebridge in the future. In a letter to Mayor Graydon Smith, Town Crier Bruce Kruger explains how Santa Claus is an iconic symbol for the town. For tourists worldwide, Bracebridge is known as Santa’s summer home due to Santa’s Village being here. Kruger says he’s talked with several locals about the idea and its received positive response. He says if the Town supports the idea he’d spearhead the project. A bronze statue is one option, but Kruger says there other alternatives.
