Summer plans could be impacted as Highway 400 construction starts this May

A road widening project could be impacting your summer plans in cottage country.
The MTO is converting 11 kilometers of Highway 400 between Major Mackenize Road and King Road in Vaughn from six lanes to eight.
Officials say lanes may be cut down at times, but both sides should be open during the busier driving times this summer.
You can also expect to see speed limits cut down in construction zones along this stretch.
Any major lane closures will likely only happen overnight.
Construction is expected to start this May and could stretch into 2020.
