The OPP has launched their Citizen Self Reporting program. Central Region Media liaison Sergeant Peter Leon says residents can make an online report for minor occurrences.

Leon says this new program allows the OPP to keep up with technology.

When reporting a crime, all you have to do is go to the OPP website, fill out the form and submit. Central Region Media liaison Sergeant Peter Leon says officers will review the reports coming in.

Leon says by providing this option, the OPP hopes more incidents will be reported and at the same time allow frontline officers to focus on more serious crimes in our community.
