April showers continue in Muskoka today

It’s time to trade in the snow shovels for umbrellas. Huntsville is in for a rainy day, with up to 30 millimetres falling in some areas. Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the rain is coming from a low-pressure system that started off in Texas which has lots of moisture with it.

Coulson says although the district is getting hit with the rain, there isn’t too much of a flooding risk just yet.

Coulson says the rain should clear out by tonight, and then we’ll see one day of sunshine on Wednesday before we’re back into grey skies.

Coulson says Friday will be a chilly day with a high of only five degrees, but the weekend is going to be nicer with sunshine and highs of 10 in the forecast.
