PCs calling for a moratorium on school closures including in Honey Harbour

There is a chance schools in Honey Harbour won’t be shut down after all. Right now, the Catholic school is set to close this summer, and the public school is on the chopping block. But, the Conservatives are calling for a moratorium into school closures across all of Ontario, so they can review how the decisions are made.

Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller says the Liberal government is asking school boards to join forces to use one campus for both boards.

Miller says the two boards need a chance to work something out, which is why the moratorium is needed. The Wynne Liberals haven’t said if they will agree to it yet or not.
