Huntsville has a plan to deal with all of the snow around town

Old Man Winter has hit Huntsville hard this year, and now the town is fighting back. Starting Monday, crews will widen roads in-town, including subdivisions. Residents are asked to avoid parking on the roads.

Starting Thursday, crews will widen rural roads, and wing back snowbanks. After that’s done, parking lots will be cleared.

The town is also bringing more sand, because the stockpile that was meant to last the entire winter is all used up. Around 170 cm has fallen so far this winter, which is more than the previous two years combined.
