Muskoka Lakes has voted in favour of raising the Rainbow Flag. The flag represented the LGBT community, especially here in Muskoka. Marketing and Promotions Manager with Muskoka Pride Shawn Forth says it was important for them to get Muskoka Lakes involved.

It’s taken the committee three years to get Muskoka Lakes to raise the flag. Forth says the next step is to set up a date.

Meantime, the work isn’t over yet. Forth says Lake of Bays and Georgian BayTownships haven’t agreed to raising the Rainbow Flag. The committee has worked on these requests for the past two years.
