The Muskoka Chamber of Commerce is getting some backlash after changing its name. The chamber members voted to switch from the Bracebridge Chamber of Commerce to Muskoka last week, in order to better represent the district. Now, the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce is calling on the board to switch back. But, Executive Director Brenda Rhodes says the name change will stick.
However, Muskoka Lakes Chamber President Matt French says the name change is a power play, so the board can expand its business reach. He is still calling for the name to be switched back.
