Georgian College is celebrating 50 years of helping students meet their academic and career goals. The school was first opened in Barrie in 1967, and since then six more campuses have opened, including one in Bracebridge.

President and CEO, MaryLynn West-Moynes, says the school has become a trailblazer in co-op programs, entrepreneurship, and social innovation.

The college will host a number of events throughout 2017 to honour the anniversary, including a student-run auto show, and the 30th annual Georgian Golf Classic.
