Gravenhurst Chamber plans a trip to China for interested residents

The Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce wants to get more in touch with China.
In September, the organization is looking to travel to China with some residents in tow.
Executive Director Sandy Lockhart says with all the Chinese visitors the town gets, over 15,000, it’s important for the Chamber and residents to learn more about their culture.
Lockhart says there is also a lot of Chinese investment coming to the town with the new Maple Leaf Educational Systems school replacing the old Muskoka Regional Centre.
The town also has a historical connection to China with the old Bethune House.
The Chamber is working in tandem with a local travel agency to provide an affordable trip.
If you’re interested and you’d like to know more about this fall trip you can contact the chamber at 705-687-4432.
