The District of Muskoka is warning homeowners winter weather may affect garbage pick-up. A number of areas in Huntsville missed its collection last week, because icy roads were causing unsafe conditions for the workers.
The District is now saying although every effort is made to pick-up waste, some homes may see delays because of deteriorating road conditions. If that happens again, there will either be a special collection day, or the garbage will have to wait until the next regularly scheduled day.
You can also drop garbage off at the dump or a transfer station.
