Highway deaths caused from speeding have 'doubled' since last year

Highway deaths caused from speeding are double this year compared to the same time last year. According to recent data released by the OPP, speed-related deaths are the highest right now compared to deaths caused by distracted or impaired driving. Of the 113 people who have been killed since June 15th speed was a factor in 33 of those deaths. Distracted driving caused 24 deaths and impaired driving caused 12.
