Orillia OPP has charged a Severn Township man in an incident where a baby was seriously assaulted.
Police were called about the incident by Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions on December 29th.
The Criminal Investigations Branch was brought in to find out more details on this incident.
Police arrested the 20-year-old father and he was charged with aggravated assault and failing to provide the necessities of life.
He will appear in court in Orillia on January 31st.
Officials say the baby is in stable condition in hospital.
